Paramedic
Marquette County EMS

Marquette County EMS is a Paramedic level service in central rural Wisconsin. We provide 911 services to Marquette County and one Township in Adams County as well as mutual aid agreements with the surrounding communities. We currently respond to nearly 2,000 calls a year (no interfacility transfers). We participate in multiple standbys at community events throughout the year and provide community education through our AHA programs. We operate out of three stations (located in Montello, Oxford and Westfield) with a minimum staffing of a Paramedic and EMT on each ambulance as well as a Paramedic intercept vehicle to assist on all calls.
 
The Marquette County EMS Department is seeking to establish an eligibility list for Paramedics. We currently have (1) full-time opening but are always accepting applications for part-time Paramedics. We desire highly motivated professionals with experience working as a Paramedic in a 911 setting. The Paramedic will function in all capacities as a part of a team delivering emergency medical care and transport. Full-time staff are unionized upon date of hire. Continuing education is provided to maintain your state/national licenses. Uniform shirts and jackets are provided upon hire. The Paramedic must be self-motivated, have a desire to learn and improve as well as demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, communication skills and the ability to work alongside dedicated team members.

Work Schedule: 48/96 rotating schedule with the opportunity for additional overtime

Starting Pay: $63,664/annually (with annual increases)

Required
Qualifications: At least 21 Years old
Valid Driver’s License
HS Diploma or Equivalent
Valid WI Paramedic License
Current BLS and ACLS
Familiarity with Microsoft Office/Image Trend
Preferred two years 911 experience as a Paramedic

🚧Marquette County Highway Operator/Patrolman🚧

The Marquette County Highway Department will be accepting additional applications to fill immediate vacancies and develop an eligibility list for future vacancies for a Highway Operator/Patrolman position to include all general highway maintenance throughout Marquette County.  Position is full time, benefit eligible, with a 2024 hourly range of $23.18 to $25.91 depending upon experience.  Additional benefit information is available by using the contact info below.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • The applicant MUST have a valid Class D Driver’s license
  • Available to work all hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed and required to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Must pass an Employment history evaluation, a personal interview and pre-employment physical, including drug screening.
  • Possession of an un-restricted Class A, B, C – Commercial Driver’s License with air brake and tanker endorsements is preferred. 
  • Tuition Assistance is available for the ideal applicant to obtain their CDL.
