Public Health Nurse - Marquette County
Marquette County, Wisconsin, is accepting applications for a full-time Public Health Nurse. This position in our Health Department will provide health education, health promotion, health assessment, public health preparedness, and disease prevention activities in the community and schools.
Qualifications for a PHN: An independent and motivated leader. A Public Health Nurse candidate must also have a Bachelor’s degree from an NLN accredited nursing program, a current license as a registered nurse in the State of Wisconsin, and 1-3 years public health or general hospital experience. CPR certification and valid WI driver’s license with access to a vehicle required.
Starting pay range is $25.44/hour - $28.43/hour based on qualifications and experience and includes full benefit package.

Program Associate - Extension Marquette County
University of Wisconsin - Madison Division of Extension Marquette County has an opening for a Limited Term Program Associate Position. This position has been newly created and is designed to provide non-teaching coordination of Extension programs. Valuable experience for educational and community-based careers. This is an entry level position requiring significant contact with the public. This position provides flexibility in scheduling; however, some overnight and weekend work may be required.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and/or at least three years working with people in community programs. Applicants must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and access to insured transportation. Applicants must pass background checks. Position last July - December 2020.

Marquette County EMS is looking to fill current, open positions and create an eligibility list for future full and part time openings from EMT-B to Paramedic. The job posting will remain open until all the positions are filled. Once a pool of applicants has been acquired, interviews will be held as needed.
Marquette County EMS is in the process of moving to a Paramedic level service from the I-12 level. We will also be moving to a full-time career department starting January 1, 2020. Currently we are a combination department with one housing location complete and two more stations starting construction soon with completion before the 1st of the year. We handle approximately 1600 requests for service each year in a large, rural area. We participate in standbys at community events throughout the year with community interaction. We operate out of three stations to cover the entire service area.

Paid holidays with options to have unused vacation time paid out at the end of the year. Continuing education is provided to maintain your state license.
