EMT Medic/Intermediate 

Marquette County EMS is looking for professional and self-motivated EMT- Intermediates and Paramedics for full-time employment. Marquette County EMS is continuing the process of transitioning from volunteer to a full-time service. Marquette County EMS responds to approximately 1600 emergency calls a year out of three stations providing ALS service to the county and two townships in Adams County. These new full-time positions will primarily be weekend shifts.  Successful applicants will undergo an interview process.

Qualifications: Current AHA ACLS, CPR and valid WI driver’s license. Current State of WI EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic license with minimum of two years’ experience.

Starting pay is $13.05/hr with full benefits package working a 48hr work week.

Marquette County Highway Department

WINTER SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT:  Snow Plow Operator for seasonal positions with Marquette County Highway Department.   Requirements:  High School Diploma or equivalent + 2 yrs. experience/training with some type of snow plowing.  Requires valid WI Driver’s License with Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License, with air brake endorsement.   $14.00 - $16.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.   WINTER SEASON ONLY (November to April).

Part Time Community Outreach Member

For the Marquette County Area School Districts   

Compensation: 

 AmeriCorps members will receive a modest living allowance, student loan deferment while serving, and an education award at the successful completion of service.  Limited reimbursement will be provided for travel to participating communities and training. 

 Scope:

This Farm-to-School program is part of a 3 county collaboration between Adams, Juneau and Marquette Counties.  This Community Outreach AmeriCorps member position will be stationed primarily in Marquette County, with limited responsibilities in Adams County. The position requires a minimum 300 hour commitment prior to August 14, 2017, or approximately 15-20 hours per week. Successful members may have the opportunity to renew for another year of service.   

The Community Outreach member will be responsible for connecting farmers with schools, working with school gardens, connecting with community members, and managing and recruiting volunteers.  Qualified candidates will have a passion for farm to school, enjoy connecting with community members, have good communication skills, and be able to work independently as well as in a team.

Senior Dining Site Manager 

Marquette County Department of Human Services has an opening for a part time senior dining site manager with the elderly nutrition program.  This position is responsible for managing multiple dining sites in Oxford, Packwaukee and Endeavor (approximately 20 hours per week). 

This position requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.  One to three months related experience or training preferred.  Successful completion and maintenance of State approved Sanitation Certification, first aid and CPR trainings are required.  The ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. is required.  Applicants will be required to pass background checks.

NUTRITION COORDINATOR

Marquette County Department of Human Services has an opening for a full time Nutrition Coordinator in the Aging and Disability Services Unit.  This position performs assessments and provides nutritional counseling, oversees and supports meal sites, collaborates with kitchen staff on menu development, and provides training and outreach.   

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in health education, dietetics, food, nutrition, food service management, human services or a related field and six months experience working with elderly and/or disabled adults.  Licensure as a registered dietician in the State of Wisconsin preferred.  Successful completion of a state approved serving safe food training within six months of hire and maintenance of such certification required. Requires a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and access to insured transportation.  Applicants will be required to pass background checks.  Position to start on or after July 3, 2017.

This Farm-to-School program is part of a 3 county collaboration between Adams, Juneau and Marquette Counties.  The Community Outreach/ Nutrition Education AmeriCorps member will be stationed primarily in either Adams or Marquette County, and will collaborate with the AmeriCorps Members in Juneau County.  The position requires a minimum 1700 hour commitment, an average of 32.5 hours per week, over the course of the one year membership.  A part-time Farm-to-School position is available in Juneau County. 

Community Outreach activities include connecting farmers with schools, working with school gardens, connecting with community members, and managing and recruiting volunteers. Nutrition Education duties include preparing age appropriate curriculums, providing educational lessons within the schools, and preparing healthy snacks for each session. Qualified candidates will have a passion for farm to school, enjoy connecting with community members, have good communication skills, and be able to work independently as well as in a team.
