Health Officer/Health Director
 

Marquette County, Wisconsin, is accepting applications for a Health Officer/Director.

 

This position is responsible for directing the County’s Health Department functions. This full-time supervisory position directs and administers the control and prevention of communicable diseases, other disease prevention, health promotion, and human health hazard control programs and services consistent with Wisconsin State Statutes, Administrative Rules, and local policy. Required: Bachelor’s degree in public health, environmental health, the physical or biological sciences, or BSN from an accredited nursing program.  Prefer an applicant with experience in a full-time position with public health agency, including responsibility for a communicable disease prevention and control program, in a supervisory or administrative position.  Position salary range is from $54,718 to 74,030 based on qualifications and experience and includes a great benefit package.

Public Health Nurse

 

Marquette County, Wisconsin, is accepting applications for a half-time Public Health Nurse. This position in our Health Department will provide health education, health promotion, health assessment, public health preparedness, and disease prevention activities in the community and schools. 

 

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree from an NLN accredited nursing program or a Public Health Certificate, a current license as a registered nurse in the State of Wisconsin and prefer 1 year public health or general hospital experience. CPR certification and valid WI driver’s license with access to a vehicle required. 

 

Pay range is $24.47/hour - $28.78/hour based on qualifications and experience.

CASE MANAGERI/II-BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

 Marquette County Department of Human Services has openings for 2 full time Case Managers in our newly created behavioral health unit.  The position includes completing written assessments and plans of care, as well as, the provision of case management services with a variety of clients enrolled in any of the following programs: Coordinated Service Teams (CST), Community Support Program (CSP) and Comprehensive Community Services (CCS).  

Case Manager I requires a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science or related field plus 1,000 hours of post degree supervised clinical experience with the chronically mentally ill.  Case Manager II requires a master’s degree in a behavioral science or related field plus 4 years of post-degree supervised clinical experience with the chronically mentally ill.  Experience working with a wide variety of mental health clients as well as social work licensure preferred.  Applicants must successfully complete training to be a functional screener. Applicants must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and access to insured transportation.  Applicants must pass background checks.

PSYCHOTHERAPIST 

Marquette County Department of Human Services has an opening for 2 full time Psychotherapists in our newly created behavioral health unit to provide mental health treatment.  Duties include intake, assessment, individual and group counseling, case management, outreach, education and prevention services.    

This position requires a master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or a relevant field, licensure as a Professional Counselor, Marriage & Family Therapist or Independent Clinical Social Worker (or equivalent) in Wisconsin with 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience.  Applicants must be certified/eligible for certification as a medical assistance provider in Wisconsin.  Applicants must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and access to insured transportation.  Applicants must pass background checks.
