Disability Benefit Specialist 

Marquette County, WI has an opening for a Disability Benefit Specialist in its Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) which covers a four county region (Adams, Green Lake, Marquette and Waushara Counties). This position’s primary service area would be in both Marquette and Waushara Counties, but may also provide services in any of the four counties.   

The Disability Benefit Specialist (DBS) provides benefits counseling and advocacy to individuals between the ages of 18 and 59 years who have a physical disability, developmental disability and/or mental illness, in order to assure that people in these target groups receive information about, and assistance in, accessing the public and private benefits for which they may qualify. 

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.  Two years of paid, full-time work experience with disability populations preferred.  Applicant must have Social Worker state certification or be eligible for certification. Applicants must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and access to insured transportation.  Applicants must pass background checks. 

Starting salary for the Disability Benefit Specialist position is $20.14 per hour plus benefits.

SOCIAL WORKER  

Marquette County Department of Human Services has an opening for a full time Social Worker in our Children and Family Services Unit.  We are a small but dynamic agency located about 50 minutes north of Madison and about 50 minutes west of Oshkosh.  We are seeking a team-oriented individual willing to engage with families for positive change. 

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.  Work experience with children and families involved in the child welfare and/or juvenile justice system, including children in foster care is highly desired.  Applicant must have Social Worker state certification or be eligible for certification. Applicants must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and access to insured transportation.  Applicants must pass background checks.
