Fees for Vital records are as follows: 
$20.00 for the first copy (of each record) 
$3.00 for each additional copy

 

Certified copies of vital records are available in our office as follows:

Birth:  If you were born in Wisconsin, you may go to any Register of Deeds office in the State of Wisconsin to obtain your copy.

Death:  Any death that occurred in Marquette County prior to September 1, 2013, the death certificate(s) must be obtained in this office; any death occurring after September 1, 2013, may be obtained at any ROD office in the State of Wisconsin.

Marriage:  Any marriage that occurred in Marquette County prior to May 18, 2015, the marriage certificate(s) must be obtained in this office; any marriage occurring after May 18, 2015 may be obtained at any ROD office in the State of Wisconsin.

Divorce:  Any divorce that occurred in Marquette County prior to January 1, 2016, the divorce certificate must be obtained in the Clerk of Court office for Marquette County; any divorce occurring after January 1, 2016, may be obtained from any ROD office in the State of Wisconsin.

Complete an application form (click on link above) and mail it to our office (P. O. Box 236, Montello, WI  53949); please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope for return with the appropriate fee and proper identification (as indicated on the instructions).  
 

Acceptable forms of payment

are cash or check made payable to  "Register of Deeds"; credit card payments are also available.
