Marquette County Job Center offers a variety of on-site services for employers. Contact us to discuss individual needs, 608-297-7550.

Hours of the Marquette County Job Center are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

 

Recruiting
We can help you search resumes and list job openings online at JobNet and America's Job Bank. Staff is also available to help with application and recruitment process.

Wage Subsidy Programs
We can provide information about wage subsidy and tax incentive programs to help you save money.

Workshops / Classes / Focus Groups
We offer Quarterly Employer Focus Groups, GED Classes, special Featured Employer Programs, Apprenticeship information, etc. Contact us for upcoming events.

Layoff and Worker Dislocation Services
If your business is closing or planning a layoff, Marquette County Job staff can help develop a plan for skill upgrading, resume development, etc. Resource Specialists are also available to help employers who are reorganizing or reducing their workforce.

Facilities
Job Center facilities are available for screening and interviewing, training, and special events.

Manufacturing Assessment Center

Small Business Ombudsman
Provides information on government regulations and financing alternatives to small businesses, particularly entrepreneurs.

Brownfields Ombudsman Program
Helps identify and resolve regulatory issues related to Brownfields redevelopment; electronically links prospective buyers with information on available Brownfield sites.

Customized Labor Training Program
Provides training grants to businesses that are implementing new technology or production processes.

Enterprise Development Zone Program
Offers tax credits for hiring disadvantaged workers and undertaking environmental remediation; also promotes business start ups or expansions in areas that suffer from high economic distress.

Tax Incremental Financing (TIF)
Helps cities attract industrial and commercial growth in underdeveloped and blighted areas.

WiSCon Safety Consultation Program
Assesses safety programs, evaluates physical work practices, identifies available assistance and provides training for employees.

Wisconsin Certified Capital Companies Program (CAPCO)
Increases investment of venture capital funds into small business enterprises which have traditionally had difficulty attracting institutional venture capital.

Wisconsin Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Support Program
Coordinates resources to help businesses purse federal SBIR grants and contracts.

Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC)
Offers micro loans to businesses owned by women, minorities and low-income individuals.
